Robby Fontana is an American recording artist, vocalist, composer, pianist, and producer based in Los Angeles, CA. He is known for his "velvet voice" singing, complimented by his mastery of the piano, all accented by his retro throwback style. His original music ranges from early 60s inspired singer-songwriter pop to jazz to Americana.  A world class performer, Fontana has distinguished himself among the top entertainers currently performing luxury venues throughout Southern California.

Originally from Milwaukee, WI, Fontana re-located to Boston, MA to study jazz piano at Berklee College of Music. He spent the next decade living there writing songs and performing. He has since performed (or recorded) with acclaimed multi-Grammy winning artist / musicians such as John Mayer, Jackson Browne, Ozomatli, Kenny Aronoff, and Paul Buckmaster.  Fontana was also one of six artists to chosen to perform as part of a New York Times "Emerging Artists," hosted by James Taylor. 

Fontana (then known as Rob Gonzalez) toured the US extensively as one of the most successful acts in the NACA (National Association of Campus Activities) touring circuit. His success on the NACA circuit caught the attention of Mark Mazzetti, former A&R for Sting at A&M Records, who signed Fontana to a production deal. Fontana recorded his critically acclaimed album All Is Right With The World which featured a line up of prominent Los Angeles studio musicians, including guitarists Lyle Workman and McCartney’s guitarist Brian Ray, and was co-produced by Grammy winning producer/engineer Dave Way.  

Fontana later launched a successful Kickstarter project, which resulted in a three song EP entitled “The Capitol Recordings EP.” The EP, featuring Fontana’s vocals and piano playing (backed by a 35 piece jazz orchestra), was recorded at Capitol Studios and engineered by multi-Grammy winner Al Schmitt. Covering songs originally written and/or recorded by Ray Charles, the EP is Gonzalez’s tribute to the music icon.
